This is the official homepage for Glasgow based cross media producer Marc McLean otherwise known online as 'Orillasound'.

I dabble in various areas of digital media including photography, company branding, website construction, video production, computer maintainance and engineering, sound engineering and electronic dance music production.  I am toying with the idea of experimenting with some foley work and on-location stereo recording using my mobile digital audio workstation.  The big idea is to start providing all these skills as professional services using the name Orillasound as the digital calling card of my cross media company.

DEADBEAT AUDIO

I also play drums and soft synths in a rock/electro band project with some good friends, at the moment we are rehearsing almost religiousley every week with the target of maybe playing a few gigs in the future.

I am practicing my on-location stereo recording techniques with the band to provide references of our songs so we can discuss and develop them further, eventually we will get recorded properly, as I said, the stereo recordings are just for our reference...

ORILLASOUND MUSIC

I produce an array of techno and house beats, and recently been experimenting with some trance and chill.

I have recently signed a licencing contract with Juno Records and will be releasing a cracking new EP in the summer, it will also be available to download from i-Tunes, emusic, Amazon and other distributors under the artist name Orillasound of course, wondering where in the hell that name came from? click here..

Want to hear the music?   click here..

This EP I am currently working on has been along time coming as I have been so busy the past year getting stuck into all the afore mentioned areas of digital media, the dance tracks I have produced in the past are not a patch on what my new EP will deliver to electronica lovers across the world as I have recently aquired some professional sound production skills using the latest in audio technology in both analogue and digital domains.

Eventually this website will be my complete portfolio of work showcasing all the skills I have mostly taught myself using graphic editing suites, digital cameras, web construction technologies, computer hardware engineering and skills I gained as a student recording engineer at Riverside Music Complex tutored by legendary master engineer Duncan Cameron, acoustics engineering genius Graham Gunn, music business tutor Mick Slaven and SAE qualified digital audio wizard Iain Donnelly.
