   What is 'Orillasound'? the name Orillasound came from the Spanish word 'Orilla' which is used to define an edge of something, a country border, where land meets water, a musical edge... The word 'Sound' simply defines what the project is about, this double barrel name was specifically created as an "internet callsign" so to speak to enable people to find the project instantly with a simple online search.....

I was heavily influenced by the birth of electronic dance music and spent my younger days as an avid raver and house/techno party enthusiast; which took me to some of the biggest rave events in Scotland right down to smaller more discreet acid house & techno parties in some of the more remote locations in Scotland, I worked in the organisation of various beach parties and tried to form a promotion company that would serve the smaller towns and villages in Scotland with dance events from some of the biggest names in dance music at the time, it didnt work because I didnt have the resources to compete against the already established promoters that were doing it....

I lived in the Canary Islands between 94-95 worked behind the bar, doing PR for a few night clubs and representing resorts and beach clubs around Gran Canaria, I always just wanted to be where the good music was, in 2005 I started recording dj mixes with my cd decks and making them available to stream on the internet. i grew jealous of the artist's music that i was mixing up, so I started producing my own dance music using a combination of recorded audio & midi, multitrack recordings, midi controllers and soft synths....

I also record, mix and master for local artists and bands, I have a mobile set-up for on-location stereo recordings using Digidesign hardware and large diaphram condensor microphones, recording & overdubbing solo artists in their own home and band demo's in rehearsal studios....
