   What is 'Orillasound'? the name Orillasound came from the Spanish word 'Orilla' which is used to define an edge of something, a country border, where land meets water, a musical edge... The word 'Sound' simply defines what the project is about, this double barrel name was specifically created so that people can easily find my music without having to browse through thousands of artists with a similar name to my projects.....

"I am an audio engineer from the glasgow area, professionally trained in multitrack recording and daw re-editing to industry standard, tutored by legendary master engineer Duncan Cameron of Riverside Studios here in Scotland."

"My musical influence comes from working in pubs n clubs all around the south coast of gran canaria in the early 90's, i got involved in the club set up and was hooked on the scene, done so much partying around the island that i lost my job which came with accom and had to come home skint. I came home which was oban at that time and set up some great beach parties with my good friend Robert, those warm chilled out summer nights on the beach were unfortunately forced to come to an end as too many people were coming and neighbouring residents were getting concerned."

"I started the Orillasound project in 2005 as an internet dj project, recording home and party mixes with my cd decks and making them available to stream online. i was always jealous of the artists music that i was mixing, so the project moved forward into the production of my own dance music starting with very basic loop editors and soft sequencers, now i am using a combination of recorded audio, multitrack recording, midi controllers and soft synths, im working on bass and drums for future productions."

My music has attracted 1 million online listeners since the project started with last year (2009) being the busiest, all done on a shoestring budget using mostly 'free' internet and marketing tools....
